The Titans’ struggles on-field continued against the Broncos last week, with the Gold Coast club held scoreless in the second-half, surrendering a 20-point lead in a woeful performance. They will face the high-flying Cowboys, but the resurgent Queensland club will be heavily weakened with a number of stars selected for the Maroons.

North Queensland will be missing Jeremiah Nanai, Reuben Cotter, Valentine Holmes and Tom Dearden with Origin. Jason Taumalolo will make a timely return at lock with Brendan Elliot, Ben Hampton and Connelly Lemuelu joining the squad at wing, halfback and the bench respectively. For the Titans, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui is their only Origin player as Moeaki Fotuaika makes a timely return from injury at prop as cover. Patrick Herbert will return at centre, pushing Esan Marsters to the bench as Sam McIntyre covers the injured David Fifita in the second-row.

Despite a 22-nil loss to a red-hot Penrith squad last week and missing four Origin representatives, North Queensland will enter this match as firm favourites. The Titans’ season is on life-support with the club needing to win a huge number of games to make the finals. This match could go either way but expect North Queensland to get the points.

Betting Tip: Titans +4.5 @ $1.90 (Playup)
